I felt ambivalent when I started this documentary, but it left me in awe of the amazing beaver. Did you know that beavers are almost blind? Did you know that beavers mate for life? Because I fucking didn't. The extent of my knowledge about beavers before watching this documentary was essentially "water rodents obsessed with building walls", but beavers aren't that basic. Beavers are the opposite of basic. They transform barren landscapes, easily turning trickles of water in the desert to thriving sanctuaries; if FEMA were run by beavers flooding would never be an issue.

Nature: Leave It to Beavers
